So I was cruising through the dreadlock tag and tumbled upon this lovely blog.
Here are my lil dreads that are only 3days old, so they’re technically not even locks yet, lol. Still in the coil phase but I’m still loving them.
My locs.
2 months.
neglect, TNR, & backcomb on separate babies. i did use wax for the first month, i’ve done 4 or 5 washes, i’ve decided to only wash every 6 months. the less i was, the less maintenance is needed & i’m a busy girl.

i work a 40 hour a week job with dreadlocks.
my BOSS told me i could redo my dreadlocks since my last job offer told me to remove them before i started working there. the day after i i removed my babies, i was offered this job & after a couple months, i chatted with my boss about anything & everything & my dreadies were brought up. “i would love to see you in them again, i bet they were beautiful.” yes, ms lynn they were & thank-you for giving me the okay to redo them. they’re 13 days old today (11-15-11) & my boss among my other co-workers kudo me on my babies everyday i work. not to mention the cool ass customers i receive, or the people i just run into at stores or shopping.
the rumor of not being able to get a job with locks, or even be offered a job with locks, is completely untrue. if you know how to manage them for a business environment, you’re good to go.
Me And Rooty the pig more pics of us over at his blog, fuckyeahrootythepig.tumblr.com , thats about 6-8 years of growth on my dreads
